Time For Republican Voters to Clean House

During my nightly wanderings through the internet, I was compelled to stop searching and start speaking out. It became necessary to express my disgust over the recent actions and statements of a number of so-called Republican senators. Senator Olympia Snowe (R-Maine) and Senator Lindsey Graham (R-S.C.) need to follow Arlen Specter to the other side of the aisle. Senator Snowe was the lone Republican that voted in favor of the Senate Finance Committee's proposed healthcare reform bill. In defending her "yes" vote for the bill, she made some of the most ridiculous, almost to the point of sounding delirious, statements to justify her vote. Snowe said in an afternoon interview that, "My vote today is my vote today. It doesn't forecast what my vote will be tomorrow." Hello, is this some sort of brunette trying to be a blond double speak?! In my attempt to apply some logic to her statement, I can only guess that her words reflect her overall political philosophy; a change with the moment, every which way approach. Snowe later made the comment that her vote to support the Democratic Senate healthcare bill was, "Demonstrating the art of the possible." Good grief! I beg Republican voters in Maine to apply her own words against her and, "demonstrate the possible" by voting her out of office. Now, onto Senator Graham. Graham aligned himself with Senator Kerry this week in his support for climate change legislation. Furthermore, while addressing an angry crowd at a town hall meeting on healthcare this week, he had the following words of wisdom for his constituents when they voiced their discontent with his positions, "If you don't like it, you can leave." And some did! When the crowd continued to press him with valid questions about healthcare and his position on climate control legislation, he exclaimed, "Chill out!" ( Is the senator suggesting that this is a way to solve so-called global warming?) Graham implied that the Republican Party is a static, narrowly represented group when he stated, "We're (Republicans) not going to be a party of angry white guys." Wake-up Senator, I'm an angry white female Republican who would be happy to show you the exit! Graham continued to justify his positions on healthcare reform and climate change legislation with mindless statements like, "If we do nothing we lose" and " it's a trade-off." What an ignorant and irresponsible way to vote on legislation that will affect American lives for decades! Senators Snowe and Graham have repeatedly exposed their true colors and they are not red, white, and blue. Their actions and statements this week have, once again, proved them to be turncoats to the Republican Party and the principles of liberty, freedom, the ownership of private property and the virtues of private business in America that the Republican Party stands for. The time is now to vote out the pseudo Republicans in both the Senate and the House at the state and local levels.

There is no doubt in my mind that there are many more so-called Republicans in Congress at both the state and federal levels who need to go! I am so puzzled by the decisions this government is making and suggesting we support; why are they so against a strong, free America?
