The month has changed from June to July, but, there appears to be no change in Obama's rhetoric; just more of the same from the president and the White House. Obama held another staged "town hall" meeting in Virginia today which was attended by a group of hand picked guests who asked the president prepackaged questions (see this blog's "Read This Now" section, 7/1 "Another Obama Staged Town Hall Meeting"). During this "town hall" meeting, Obama continued his misleading spin on his health care reform proposal, failing, as always, to give any details about his plan or how his plan would be paid for. Once again, Obama's mantra was one of doom and gloom as he continued to profess that the current health care system is not acceptable and, staying true to his "can't wait to get it done" attitude, he declared that health care must be "overhauled" this year.
Also, on this first day of July, 2009, Obama made the statement that the stimulus has worked and has done its job. How can he say this when tomorrow's national unemployment statistics may reach 10%, the worst unemployment numbers in 30 years?!
At the White House, Obama's assistant press secretary defended the cap and trade bill as a positive measure to improve the lives of all Americans and he insisted that it will not impose a huge tax or financial burden on American households and businesses.
These are just a few, of many, examples that show how Obama is out of touch with the American people and how he ignores what is right for America. Stay informed, get involved. From the founder of Women for Family, God, and Country ... God Bless America.

There is no end to the lies and deceit from this administration. I thank God for our great health care system. We should OVERHAUL the White House! Somebody also needs to inform Robert Gibbs that the cap and trade bill is an energy TAX on EVERYBODY!!!
You have it absolutely right, Marjie; everything the Obama administration proposes and passes is a tax one way or another. Pass the word on loud and often about the dangers of Obama's economic, health care,national security, and foreign anti-American policies.
